A RED polygon indicates a Severe Thunderstorm Warning

A Pinkish polygon indicates a Tornado Warning

A Green polygon indicates a Flash Flood Warning

A Pink Box is a Severe Thunderstorm WATCH

A Red Box Indicates a Sever Thunderstorm WATCH

A watch box may not be entirely visible as it usually covers a large area.

A Watch Box will be colored in with the box color.

Near Real Time Lightning Display Information

The lightning is displayed as described below.

Lightning Bolt Symbols are newest strikes.

Plus Signs + are older strikes.

There are three sizes of + signs, the smaller the older.

The actual time of strike depends on when the image

was uploaded, it can be a minimum of two minuets

for the Bolts to a maximum of 20 minuets for the

smallest + sign.

The color of the Bolts and Plus Signs + indicate:

White, 1 stroke within about two miles.

Yellow, 2 strokes within about two miles.

Red, 2 to 6 strokes within about two miles.

Purple, 7 or more strokes within about two miles.
